As you were talking about newspaper comic strips, I wanted to mention a URL, I don't know, whether any of you know it. The Houston Chronicle has a feature where you can create your own comics page and you can read them online.

Go to that page, click on the ones you want to read and it builds a page with your comic strips. Bookmark that page and come back everyday to read the strips of the day. It works fine over all - sometimes not all are available, but that might depend on how badly the servers are frequented at that moment. And they have a lot to offer: Doonesbury, Dilbert, Spider-Man, Bizarro etc.
Lene Taylor mentioned "A Boy and his Dog" - which made me think of another topic for your crossovers. What do you think of mixing prose and comics? I must say, I don't like it and am quite annoyed, when I find that in comic books. When I pick up a comic book, I want to read a comic story , not a novel, no matter how good the prose might be. Examples of that: the latest "A Boy and his Dog"-collection, Strangers in Paradise "Molly & Poo"-GN and Cerebus. I actually skipped all the prose in Cerebus "Reads".
